About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    There have been reports of drug use, drug dealing, and associated anti‑social behaviour occurring in the vicinity of Eton Road, Eton College Road, and Provost Road, NW3.

    Action taken:

    Through patrol activity, intelligence gathering and partner information-sharing, officers have identified individuals linked to anti-social behaviour and drug-related offending in the area. This has shown the need for a continued enforcement presence, alongside joint working with the Local Authority, to address persistent issues and improve community safety.

    The area has seen regular high-visibility patrols, supported by unmarked proactive units and partnership work with the Local Authority. These intelligence-led operations have resulted in multiple stop and searches, the issuing of formal ASB warnings, and the arrest of numerous wanted individuals. This work forms part of an ongoing, coordinated approach to tackle anti-social behaviour, disrupt criminal activity, and improve safety in the area.

    This work is ongoing. We will continue to review intelligence, monitor reports from the area, and assess the impact of patrols, enforcement and partnership activity. Our aim is to reduce anti-social behaviour, tackle serious criminality, and provide reassurance to the local community.

    Residents and local businesses have raised concerns about ongoing anti‑social behaviour, drug use, and drug dealing in and around Queens Crescent.

    Action taken:

    Local patrol activity and ongoing engagement have helped officers identify individuals linked to anti-social behaviour in the area. This has shown the importance of maintaining visible patrols, using appropriate enforcement powers, and continuing to work closely with partner agencies to address issues in a coordinated way.

    Your local policing team remains committed to tackling anti-social behaviour through regular high-visibility patrols. During this activity, officers have identified offenders, issued formal enforcement warnings, and arrested a number of wanted individuals.

    This proactive work will continue and is being supported through close partnership working with the local authority and other agencies to help ensure an effective and coordinated response to community concerns.

    This work is ongoing. We will continue to monitor reports of anti-social behaviour, review the impact of patrols and enforcement activity, and work with partners to respond to any emerging issues. Our aim is to reduce anti-social behaviour, improve reassurance, and support a safer environment for the local community. The template makes clear that assessment should review implementation and whether actions are having the intended effect over time.

    This priority has been established following a recent rise in theft‑related reports in Chalk Farm, with shoplifting being the primary concern. Furthermore, shoplifting is also an Met Police priority.

    Action taken:

    Work with retailers and local patrol activity has highlighted the need for a visible police presence, stronger crime prevention measures and more consistent reporting to help identify repeat offenders quickly. We have also recognised the importance of working closely with businesses so that evidence and intelligence can be secured promptly and used to support effective enforcement.

    Proactive activity has been stepped up to tackle retail related crime in the area. Increased high visibility patrols have been put in place to deter offenders and provide reassurance to local businesses.
    Retailers have also been given tailored crime prevention advice, crime prevention leaflets and officers have reinforced the importance of reporting incidents through Operation Retail so that repeat offenders can be identified quickly and robust enforcement action can be taken. This work supports the Met’s focus on visible frontline policing and stronger engagement with local businesses and the wider community.

    This work is ongoing. We will continue to monitor reports of retail crime, review the impact of patrols and prevention activity, and work with businesses to improve reporting and evidence gathering. Our aim is to reduce offending, support victims, and improve confidence among local traders.
