About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Violence

    The Broad Green team will conduct regular patrols through a mixture of high visibility and plain clothes, targeting hotspots and known offenders. VAWG offences will be paid particular attention within our ward as discussed at the last ward panel.

    High visibility and plain clothes patrols have been conducted over the past few weeks in the affected area.
    A VAWG engagement stall was also set up within the town centre footprint to offer advice and guidance on personal safety and reporting methods

    ASB

    Anti-social behaviour continues to impact residents' quality of life and feelings of safety within Broad Green Ward. Broad Green SNT will work to reduce ASB, improve public confidence and address concerns raised by the community.

    Broad Green SNT will carry out targeted patrols in identified locations, work with partner agencies to address recurring issues, utilise appropriate enforcement measures against offenders, and engage with residents to identify and resolve local concerns.

    Drugs

    Drug-related activity remains a concern for residents due to its links to crime, disorder and community harm. Broad Green SNT will focus on tackling drug-related offending and improving community safety through proactive policing and partnership working.

    Broad Green SNT will undertake intelligence-led activity in areas of concern, develop information regarding drug offences, work with specialist teams and partners to disrupt drug-related activity, and encourage residents to report information that assists enforcement action.
