About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Been informed by local members of the community and officers own work around suspicion and concerns of ASB and alleged drug dealing.
    This is to include the locality around Barnehurst train station including local shops and residential block of flats.

    Our team to increase patrols with a mixture of high visibility and plain clothes and where required enforcement and engagement. Identifying groups, individuals and vehicles of interest and co-ordinate a response of educating and enforcement through direct stops and searches where evidence exists and deal with appropriately through methods such as arrests, CPNW, partnership referrals. Build and increase the intelligence picture by our own knowledge supported by the information of local residents and police systems such as crime mapping . This will enable us to focus the teams efforts.

    ASB with emphasis to Colyers Lane, Hurstwood Avenue, Birling Road and locality.

    Our team to increase patrols with a variety of high visibility and plain clothes to increase enforcement and engagement. This will result in a variety of outcomes from arrests to CPNW and other methods escalating to CBO’s if required. Engagement with residents where local residents are identified as being anti social working with partners to deal.

    Our team to increase patrols with a variety of high visibility and plain clothes to increase enforcement when required. Educating residents where required to target harden localities and thereby reduce opportunities of crime occurring. Through our own work and engaging with the public to build on the intelligence picture which will enable the team to focus and concentrate our efforts.
