About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Obstructive parking around the airport affecting local people on the estate.

    Issued 06 January 2026

    Action taken:

From feedback in the community we are aware that inconsiderate and careless parking is an issue and this is particularly prevalent around the Airport. We have been working closely with the partners to tackle the issue from a more joined up perspective and have stepped up patrols to increase awareness and provide a high visibility presence.

    Actioned 08 January 2026

  • Priority:

Anti-social behaviour and youth violence around Penketh Drive

    Issued 15 April 2026

    Action taken:

From feedback in the community, there are ongoing issues with youth related anti-social behaviour.
articular with youths is an issue. We have increased patrols at key times and worked with partners to address issues such as CCTV opportunities. We are currently working with partners around youth engagement and diversion opportunities.
Plan which aims at increasing patrols at key times to target offenders and this has included plain clothes officers working in the area. We have also set up a community priority for the area to increase the amount of HVP and also we have been working with partners such as licencing to tackle some of the ongoing issues.

    Actioned 15 April 2026
