About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Drug dealing and associated anti-social behaviour and vulnerability linked to drug supply and use

    Action taken:

    Local policing officers have been working in partnership with the local council and housing providers to address issues raised by residents. They conducted community surveys in the area and collated valuable evidence towards a closure order for a problematic address. Joint visits have been conducted and enforcement ongoing via the housing provider.

    Local policing officers have been working in partnership with housing providers and council safer communities’ team to combat issues raised by residents. In response to concerns raised a female has been given a community protection warning notice and evidence for a further problematic address has been gathered for a closure notice.

    Police officers in the Moss Bank area have been actively responding to concerns about drug dealing and associated anti‑social behaviour around Tarn Grove and Ullswater Avenue.
    Following the development of key information and intelligence, officers executed a warrant at a problematic address. A male and a female were arrested on suspicion of drug offences and have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
    The neighbourhood team is now gathering further evidence to support a potential closure notice for the address and is working closely with partner agencies to deter and disrupt this illegal activity. Officers will continue to prioritise this issue and encourage residents to report any suspicious behaviour to help keep the community safe.
