    You have told us that Road traffic offences and speeding are an issue within Wigston borough.
    This can include, Speeding, No MOT/Insurance/Tax, Obstructive parking, Dangerous driving, etc.

    Action taken:

    Local officers have identified key locations for traffic-related offences and conduct regular patrols in these areas. Acting on intelligence and reports, details of suspected vehicles are circulated in real time to officers on duty, enabling prompt stop checks when vehicles are sighted.
    Targeted operations are being organised and delivered in conjunction with local and Roads Policing officers to address speeding concerns in known problem areas. Details and results of these operations will be shared via our Facebook pages.
    ‘Fatal 4’ operations are also being carried out across the borough, focusing on the main contributory factors to serious collisions, including seatbelt offences, drink and drug driving, and the use of mobile phones whilst driving. Outcomes from these operations will be published on our Facebook pages.
    In addition, the Road Safety Team has conducted enforcement activity at several locations during July, including Bull Head Street and Leicester Road in Wigston, where a number of traffic offences have been identified and dealt with.

    We have conducted warrants and made some significant arrests though the intel and reports that the public have made to us.

    Drug patrols have been integrated into our ASB patrol activity.
    The beat team has achieved positive results in tackling anti-social behaviour in your area, including issues such as disruptive youths, potential property damage, the seizure of nuisance vehicles, suspected drug misuse and odours, neighbour and parking disputes, and general disorderly behaviour.
    Across Wigston and the surrounding areas, beat teams have identified key ASB hotspots and individuals of concern. These locations are subject to regular patrols, with incidents addressed promptly when resources permit. Individuals involved are managed through a proportionate, incremental approach.

    You have told us that Shop Theft is an issue in the area of Wigston town centre, in particular repeat offenders and high value targeted thefts.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to work closely with local and high street businesses in Wigston, building intelligence and sharing information regarding known individuals and identifying suspects.
    Regular patrols are carried out several times each day, focusing on targeted premises, with CCTV systems being monitored and relevant footage shared.
    Any suspects identified are dealt with at the time where possible, or progressed by officers following the incident as appropriate.
    In addition, street CCTV operates across key locations including Bell Street and Leicester Road, as well as other areas within Wigston, and is regularly accessed and monitored by police.
