    Road Safety:
    Community feedback has confirmed that Road Safety—particularly speeding—continues to be a priority for the people of Uppingham as we move into the second quarter of 2026.
    We will maintain a frequent and highly visible policing presence in affected areas as part of our ongoing local road safety operation. This includes marked vehicle patrols, routine monitoring, and the regular deployment of the speed laser device. Offenders will be dealt with robustly where appropriate.
    We will continue working closely with partner agencies, including the Road Safety Partnership mobile speed camera van team, to identify areas of concern and request targeted deployments.

    Enforcement activity and results will continue to be shared with the community through the Neighbourhood Link messaging service: www.neighbourhoodlink.co.uk

    During Apr 26 the Uppingham beat team continued targeted road-safety enforcement following community concerns about speeding. PCSO Wylie has completed speed monitoring and maintained frequent high-visibility patrols. Marked-vehicle and ANPR-supported deployments, and carried out regular speed-gun monitoring in identified hotspot areas. They also worked alongside the Road Safety Partnership mobile speed camera van to address persistent speeding issues and shared enforcement updates with residents via Neighbourhood Link, reinforcing their commitment to improving compliance in 30mph zones.

    Anti-Social Behaviour:
    Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) remains a key priority for the people of Uppingham as we move into the second quarter of 2026.
    We will maintain high‑visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas, working alongside partner agencies to provide reassurance and deter offending. Officers will continue to engage proactively with individuals involved in ASB, offering appropriate advice or taking necessary action to address unacceptable behaviour.

    Apr 26, has seen and increase in youth ASB in the town which is being treated as a priority concern. We have been working with are partners on the Rutland Community Safety Team to identify individual, visit their parents and record the intervention. We have maintained regular high-visibility patrols in known hotspot areas to provide reassurance to the public and deter offenders.

    Drugs:
    Through continued consultation with the community, the selling and use of drugs remains a key priority for the people of Uppingham as we move into the second quarter of 2026.
    We will continue to develop and strengthen our intelligence picture around individuals involved in drug‑related crime. This will enable us to deploy our resources effectively in the right areas and at the right times, with the aim of deterring activity, disrupting criminal networks, and bringing offenders to justice. We will also maintain close working relationships with partner agencies and the community to ensure information is shared promptly and action is taken swiftly.

    Through Apr we have continued to treat drug activity as a key priority. We have been developing intelligence around individuals involved in drug use and dealing. This ongoing intelligence-led approach supports efforts to disrupt, deter, and bring offenders to justice, forming the foundation for targeted drug-related policing.

    Neighbourhood and Response Officers have been using the ANPR systems, as well as intelligence provided by the public to stop and search a number of vehicles across the LPU.
