Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

The beat team aim to tackle different elements of ASB in Mountsorrel, including the use of e-bikes and scooters.

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

During June, the team has been dealing with a report of anti-social behaviour (ASB) relating to a neighbour dispute, which remains under investigation.

Last week, a report was received regarding off-road bikes being ridden in Halstead Park close to midnight. At this stage, the incident appears to be an isolated occurrence. However, we would encourage residents to report any further sightings of off-road bikes in the park so that we can build a clearer picture of what is happening and take appropriate action where necessary.

  • Priority:

The beat team aim to tackle speeding in Mountsorrel

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

We have carried out speed checks on Halstead Road following recent feedback from residents.

We’re pleased to report that the majority of drivers were travelling within the speed limit when we completed the checks.

However, two vehicles were identified exceeding the limit. Both drivers were stopped by officers and given words of advice.

We will continue to listen to community concerns and carry out further speed enforcement where needed to help keep our roads safe.
