About us

    You have raised concerns regarding drug use and youth related ASB concerning bike use and damage in disused premises on and around Grieve Close.

    Action taken:

    We will: We will conduct multi agency visits to the area to speak to residents regarding the issues and actions we can take to tackle the issues.
    We will work with local authorities and land and building owners to ensure we are maintaining the safety of residents and will take robust action against those causing harm.

    We Did:
    We have completed consultation with local residents in company with partners from ASB teams and housing officers. We are working together to address the issues raised by you and deal with those causing harm to our community.
    We have now completed a number of visits with professional partners in this area and we have spoken to a number of residents. We have completed a warrant within the location recently and we continue to tackle both drug issues and other ASB.

    Retail Crime – Belvoir Shopping centre and Whitwick Retail Park.
    You Said: We are aware that local businesses are being subject to theft which includes repeat offenders targeting certain stores.

    Action taken:

    We Will: We will complete targeted operations in the area, working with colleagues in CCTV to target those causing harm and repeat offenders.
    We will work with our local enforcement teams and our Safer Streets officers to identify those committing offences and seek convictions and long term orders to enable officers to take robust action.
    We Did:
    We are working with establishments who are being frequently targeted to provide safety advice and to target those causing harm. We are completing regular patrols and are working with partners in our CCTV office to ensure identified suspects are quickly detained and dealt with.
    We are also progressing a number of Criminal Behavior Orders to ensure we are dealing with offenders in the long term.
    We have continued to target those causing harm, with Criminal Behaviour Orders being issued at court giving us further powers. We are continuing to work with those retailers most impacted and are also in close contact with partners in our CCTV office to ensure swift action when offenders are identified.

    We will: We will work with partners to complete multi agency visits in the location to seek your concerns and views. We will work with local targeting teams to develop intelligence and work to bring those causing harm to justice. We will also look to work with our legal teams to develop long term resolutions.
    We Did:
    We are working with partners and local residents to address the issues being reported. We are also developing intelligence.
    We have completed a series of visits with professional partners within this area. We are speaking residents and are listening to concerns raised. We are working with partner agencies to effect long term solutions.
