Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Anti-Social Behaviour in and around Braunstone Park continues as a priority concern from the community. Over the spring period, the team will continue to concentrate on this location.

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Throughout June, the beat team have maintained a strong focus on addressing anti-social behaviour in and around Braunstone Park, responding directly to ongoing community concerns.

The team have conducted regular high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas, aimed at deterring disorder and providing reassurance to the public.

Targeted enforcement activity has led to multiple arrests linked to disorder and anti-social behaviour within Braunstone Park, along with the seizure of vehicles involved in nuisance activity, demonstrating a proactive approach to tackling those causing harm to the community.

In addition, the team have utilised partnership and preventative powers to address persistent individuals.

A male responsible for ongoing issues at Winstanley House has been issued with a banning letter, restricting access and reducing further incidents in that location.

Separately, a male riding a motorbike in an anti-social manner within Braunstone Park, without valid documentation, has been reported and summonsed to court for multiple driving offences, removing further risk and disruption.

Overall, the team have combined visible patrols, enforcement action and targeted interventions to disrupt offending behaviour, safeguard public spaces and respond effectively to the community’s priority concerns.

  • Priority:

From Community Surveys and Feedback on Neighbourhood Link, road safety has been highlighted to be a local concern. We will continue to concentrate on speeding concerns and anti social behaviour caused by e bikes, e scooters and off road motorbikes.

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

During June, the beat team have continued to focus on road safety and anti-social vehicle use, following concerns raised through community surveys and Neighbourhood Link.

Activity has centred on tackling speeding and nuisance behaviour linked to e-bikes, e-scooters and off-road motorbikes across the Braunstone area.

The team have carried out targeted patrols and enforcement activity, resulting in a vehicle being seized after failing to stop for police on the Braunstone estate, with the driver subsequently reported for summons to court. In a separate incident, another male was dealt with for multiple driving offences, with his vehicle also seized, demonstrating ongoing disruption of unsafe and illegal driving.

In response to emerging issues on Cort Crescent, where anti-social behaviour and disruption were escalating, officers conducted proactive enforcement which led to multiple arrests and the seizure of motorbikes linked to the disorder. This action has contributed to reducing ongoing nuisance and improving safety for residents in the area.

The team recognise the impact this activity can have on the community and thank residents for their patience during enforcement operations.

Looking ahead, Operation Pedalfat will be resuming shortly, continuing the focus on tackling anti-social vehicle use and supporting safer neighbourhoods.

    Actioned 01 July 2026

  • Priority:

From the Surveys on Neighbourhood Link you have told us that drug dealing and usage at locations across the Braunstone and Rowley Fields area is a concern.

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Throughout June, the beat team have remained focused on tackling drug dealing and associated activity across Braunstone and Rowley Fields, in direct response to concerns raised via Neighbourhood Link surveys.

Activity has centred on both enforcement and safeguarding, targeting offenders while also supporting vulnerable individuals linked to drug exploitation.

The team have taken positive enforcement action, including charging one male with possession of cannabis and charging another male with possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, demonstrating a proactive approach to disrupting drug supply.

In addition, two further males were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply nitrous oxide canisters, further addressing emerging substance-related issues within the area.

Proactive work is continuing, with officers having secured two new PACE warrants, which are due to be executed shortly, aimed at targeting addresses suspected of drug activity and further disrupting organised supply.

Alongside enforcement, the team have placed a strong emphasis on safeguarding, conducting multiple visits to individuals believed to be at risk of cuckooing, ensuring victims are supported and connected with appropriate services while reducing opportunities for exploitation within the community.

Overall, the team have delivered a balanced approach of targeted enforcement, warrant activity and safeguarding, working to reduce drug-related harm and respond effectively to community concerns.
