You said parking around schools in Ellistown, Hugglescote, New Swannington and Whitwick are causing issues.

This has been communicated through Neighbourhood Link (NHL) surveys, e-mails and calls to the Beat Team and discussed at our community events.

We will patrol these roads at relevant times to target poor parking. We will visit these schools and others to educate and enforce where necessary. We will work with local schools and Traffic Enforcement from NWLDC to achieve this.

You said cars are driving at an excessive speed on Grange Road in Hugglescote, Leicester Road in Whitwick, Thornborough Road in Whitwick and Loughborough Road in Thringstone.

This has been communicated through Neighbourhood Link (NHL) surveys, e-mails and calls to the Beat Team and discussed at our community events.

Over the next quarter the Beat Team will monitor these roads, conduct speeding checks and operations. Those caught driving at an excessive speed will be dealt with accordingly through a range of disposal methods.

You said some residents and visitors to the area are committing crime such as criminal damage and theft as well as causing Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) on some of the residential streets in Agar Nook.

This has been communicated through Neighbourhood Link (NHL) surveys, e-mails and calls to the Beat Team and partner agencies. These include North West Leicestershire District Council and housing providers such as East Midlands Housing.

We will respond to calls from residents, business users, and partner agencies to target those responsible through the ASB incremental process and via utilising relevant police powers.
