About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Nuisance motorcycles.

    Action taken:

    There have been reports of nuisance motorcycle activity in the area. In response, officers have carried out high-visibility patrols in locations where concerns have been raised. While no offences were witnessed during these patrols, officers continue to monitor reports and gather information to help identify those responsible.

    Some concerns have been linked to issues within private land managed locally. Officers are working with local community representatives and other partners to understand the issues and explore ways to address them.

    Nuisance motorcycles remain a wider concern across the area, and officers continue to gather intelligence and investigate those believed to be involved. Where sufficient evidence is available, police can take enforcement action, including seizing motorcycles that are being used illegally or in an antisocial manner.

    We encourage residents to continue reporting incidents, as information from the community helps officers identify offenders and target patrols where they are needed most.

    Drug dealing.

    Action taken:

    There has been one report of suspected drug dealing in the area during the summer period. Officers will continue to monitor reports and carry out patrols in locations where concerns have been raised to help deter criminal activity and identify any offences.

    Information provided by residents helps officers build a clearer picture of local issues and direct resources where they are most needed. Tackling drug-related crime remains a priority, and officers will continue to use intelligence and proactive patrols to address concerns and take appropriate action where necessary.

    E-scooters/E-bikes.

    Action taken:

    This continues to be an ongoing issue across the area. Officers have carried out high-visibility patrols in locations where concerns have been raised and will continue to target areas affected by the misuse of e-scooters.

    As part of this activity, a number of e-scooters have been seized following offences being identified. Privately owned e-scooters cannot currently be used on public roads, cycle lanes or pavements, and riders found using them illegally may have their vehicle seized and face enforcement action.

    Tackling the illegal use of e-scooters remains a policing priority, and officers will continue to carry out patrols and take appropriate action where offences are identified.
