About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Officers carry out both proactive and reactive patrols to tackle illegal and antisocial use of vehicles.

    This includes stopping riders, seizing vehicles where needed, and providing advice to help people understand the law and stay safe.

    We continue to work with partner agencies to share information and pass reports to the local authority, so enforcement action can be taken where needed.

    We have increased police visibility in fly‑tipping hotspot areas and continue to work closely with Medway Council.

    This includes identifying offenders and supporting the quick removal of waste to help keep the area clean and safe.
