About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Action taken:

    Residents told us they were concerned about drug-related activity within the ward. In response, officers have carried out regular marked and unmarked patrols in identified hotspot locations, using community information and intelligence to focus activity where it is most needed. Officers continue to visit addresses linked to concerns, engage with residents and take positive action where appropriate. Through proactive patrols, intelligence gathering and partnership working, we remain committed to disrupting drug-related activity and keeping the community safe.

    Alcohol.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to carry out regular patrols in areas where alcohol-related antisocial behaviour has been reported. We also conduct visits to local off-licences, working alongside partner agencies to ensure licensing conditions are being complied with. This joint approach helps prevent alcohol-related disorder and provides reassurance to local residents.

    Nuisance vehicles.

    Action taken:

    Nuisance vehicles remain a priority for residents. Officers have conducted targeted patrols using both marked and unmarked police vehicles in known hotspot areas, including locations linked to reports of off-road motorcycles and e-scooters being used in an antisocial manner. Intelligence-led activity has resulted in positive action being taken against individuals linked to vehicle-related offending, with patrols focusing on disruption, enforcement and the seizure of vehicles where legislation permits. We will continue to act on information provided by the community to reduce antisocial behaviour and improve the quality of life for residents.
