About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Action taken:

    Officers have carried out both high-visibility and plain-clothed patrols in identified hotspot locations to deter offending, gather intelligence, and identify those responsible. Action has been taken where offences have been identified, including the seizure of vehicles and enforcement against offenders. Officers continue to engage with local residents and partner agencies to develop intelligence, identify repeat offenders, and explore long-term solutions aimed at reducing nuisance vehicle activity.

    Action taken:

    Officers have carried out targeted patrols and enforcement activity in locations highlighted by residents, providing both reassurance and an opportunity to address offences when identified. We continue to work alongside partner agencies and local stakeholders to better understand local concerns, promote safer driving, and identify opportunities for future road safety initiatives that support all road users.

    Action taken:

    Officers have undertaken proactive high-visibility patrols during peak times, engaged with businesses and members of the public, and reviewed available CCTV opportunities to identify those responsible. Where individuals have been identified, appropriate action has been taken to address their behaviour and prevent further incidents. This activity continues to provide reassurance to the community while supporting a longer-term problem-solving approach designed to reduce antisocial behaviour and improve the quality of life for those who live, work, and visit the area.
