About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Drug dealing.

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have carried out targeted patrols in areas where antisocial behaviour and drug-related activity have been linked. Using information provided by local residents and the wider community, officers have focused their activity on locations and times where concerns are greatest. This has included proactive patrols and stop and searches where officers have lawful grounds to suspect someone may be involved in criminal activity. These measures help officers deter offending, identify those responsible and respond effectively to community concerns.

    Actioned 30 September 2026

  • Priority:

    Road safety (speeding and parking).

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have carried out targeted patrols in response to concerns about unsafe and inconsiderate parking. During these patrols, officers have spoken with drivers whose vehicles were parked in positions that could create risks or cause obstruction, providing advice and encouraging safer parking. Officers have ensured that only the residents of the location itself are now parking on the road.

    Actioned 30 September 2026

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have carried out targeted patrols in areas where nuisance antisocial behaviour has been reported, using information provided by local residents and the wider community to focus activity. These patrols help deter offending, identify those responsible and provide reassurance to people living in the area. Officers will continue to work with the community, gather information and carry out patrols to address concerns and improve neighbourhood safety.
