Action taken:

Officers continue to tackle the illegal and antisocial use of e-bikes and e-scooters through targeted high-visibility patrols in areas where concerns have been raised. This proactive approach has resulted in a number of e-scooters and e-bikes being seized, with vehicles not returned where the legal requirements, such as insurance, were not met.

Officers are also taking steps to prevent further offences through education and engagement. Details of schools attended by young people involved have been gathered to support future visits, where officers will provide advice and raise awareness of the laws surrounding the use of e-bikes and e-scooters. Through ongoing patrols, enforcement activity and education, officers continue to work to improve road safety, reduce antisocial behaviour and help young people better understand their responsibilities when using these vehicles.

Officers continue to tackle the illegal and antisocial use of e-bikes and e-scooters through targeted high-visibility patrols in areas where concerns have been raised. This proactive activity has resulted in a number of e-bikes and e-scooters being seized, with several not being returned because they were being used without the legally required insurance.

Alongside enforcement activity, officers are taking steps to educate young people about the law surrounding the use of these vehicles. Details of schools attended by those involved have been identified to support future engagement visits, where officers will provide advice and raise awareness of the legislation relating to e-bikes and e-scooters.

Through ongoing patrols, enforcement and education, officers continue to address nuisance vehicle use, improve road safety and reduce antisocial behaviour within the community.

Action taken:

Officers continue to work with local communities to tackle wildlife crime and antisocial behaviour involving the misuse of catapults. Following reports of incidents involving wildlife being injured or killed, officers have identified a number of young people believed to be involved and are working with local schools to help establish their identities and address their behaviour. Once identified, appropriate action will be taken to prevent further offending and protect local wildlife.

Through ongoing partnership working with schools, residents and other agencies, officers continue to raise awareness of the impact that this behaviour can have on animals, the community and those involved. Patrols and engagement activity will continue, alongside enforcement action where appropriate, to deter offending and improve community safety. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents, as information from the public plays a vital role in helping officers identify those responsible and take positive action.
