About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Road safety.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to address road safety concerns through targeted patrols and enforcement activity in response to issues raised by residents. A number of speed enforcement operations have been carried out across the ward, resulting in drivers being stopped for road traffic offences. Officers will continue to conduct patrols and enforcement activity at locations identified through community concerns and local intelligence to improve road safety and reduce offending on local roads.

    Further speed enforcement activity is planned over the coming weeks and months. Residents are encouraged to report dangerous, antisocial or inconsiderate driving, as information from the community helps officers identify problem locations and direct patrols where they are needed most. Through ongoing enforcement, community engagement and road safety initiatives, officers remain committed to improving safety for all road users.

    Nuisance vehicles.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to monitor reports of nuisance vehicles within the ward and carry out patrols where concerns are raised. Reports of nuisance vehicle activity have remained low during this reporting period, which is encouraging. Officers will continue to gather information, respond to incidents and take action where appropriate to prevent problems from developing. This priority will be reviewed to ensure it continues to reflect the concerns and needs of the local community. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents, as information from the public helps officers identify emerging issues and target resources where they are most needed.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to monitor and respond to reports of antisocial behaviour within the ward. While the number of reported incidents has remained low during this reporting period, officers continue to carry out patrols where appropriate, providing reassurance to residents and responding to any concerns raised by the community.

    This priority will be reviewed to ensure it continues to reflect the issues that matter most to local residents. Officers encourage the public to continue reporting incidents and concerns, as information from the community helps identify emerging issues, direct resources effectively and ensure appropriate action can be taken where needed.
