About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Action taken:

    PC Vaz continues to make tackling shoplifting a priority, working closely with local businesses to identify offenders and take action where offences have been committed. By reviewing evidence and sharing information with retailers, he is able to identify suspects, carry out enquiries and support prosecutions where appropriate. Alongside enforcement activity, PC Vaz works with partner organisations to address the underlying causes of offending and support people to make positive changes, helping to reduce repeat offences. Residents and businesses are encouraged to sign up to My Community Voice to receive updates, report concerns and help shape local policing priorities. Information from the community plays an important role in helping officers target their efforts and keep the area safe.

    Highway obstructions.

    Action taken:

    PC Vaz is aware of concerns about highway obstructions and works closely with the local authority and other partner agencies to identify and address problem locations. By sharing information and taking coordinated action, partners can help improve access and safety for residents, pedestrians and road users. PC Vaz will continue to work with local residents and partner organisations to find long-term solutions to these issues. Residents are encouraged to sign up to My Community Voice to receive updates, report concerns and help shape local policing priorities. Information from the community helps officers and partners focus their efforts where they are needed most.

    Action taken:

    PC Vaz remains committed to tackling drug-related activity in the area. Through regular patrols and community engagement, he gathers information about suspected drug dealing and works to identify those involved. Information from residents helps police target enforcement activity where it is needed most, supporting action to disrupt criminal activity and improve community safety. PC Vaz encourages anyone with concerns about drug-related behaviour to report it, as information from the public plays a vital role in helping keep the area safe. Residents can also sign up to My Community Voice to receive updates and share concerns with their local neighbourhood policing team.
