About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance/catapults.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

Local officers continue to patrol Edenbridge regularly and have recently established a new police office in the town. Antisocial behaviour remains a concern, particularly involving catapults and e-scooters. The area is included in a district tasking plan, meaning response officers also focus patrols here where possible.

A number of stop and searches have been carried out, and some repeat offenders have been identified and are being dealt with using antisocial behaviour powers. Officers will continue to work with the community, discuss concerns at local engagement events and encourage residents to share information that may help address ongoing issues.

To receive updates and stay in direct contact with your local neighbourhood officer, please join My Community Voice (MCV).

  • Priority:

    Nuisance vehicles.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

E-scooters continue to be a concern in Edenbridge. Much of our work focuses on education, as some users may not realise that privately owned e-scooters cannot be used legally on public roads, pavements or other public places. Advice and awareness messages have been shared through local schools, and officers continue to engage with young people and their families. Anyone found using an e-scooter unlawfully risks having it seized and may receive a penalty notice. Residents are encouraged to join My Community Voice (MCV) to receive updates and stay in direct contact with their local neighbourhood officer.

  • Priority:

    Road safety.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

The local policing team has carried out speed checks in and around the area following concerns about speeding. Several drivers were stopped and dealt with for speeding offences, and further enforcement activity is planned throughout the summer months. Officers have also made a number of drink-driving arrests and continue to carry out vehicle stop checks as part of ongoing district road safety operations. Residents are encouraged to join My Community Voice (MCV) to receive updates and stay in direct contact with their local neighbourhood officer.
