About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Local officers continue to patrol Edenbridge regularly and have recently established a new police office in the town. Antisocial behaviour remains an issue, particularly involving catapults and e-scooters. As a result, the area is included in a district tasking plan, meaning response officers also focus patrols here where possible.

A number of stop and searches have been carried out, and officers have identified some repeat offenders. Action is being taken using antisocial behaviour powers to address ongoing concerns. Officers are also working with the community to prevent further incidents and will continue to discuss these issues at local engagement events.

Residents are encouraged to report any information that may help investigations. To receive updates and stay in direct contact with the local officer, please join My Community Voice (MCV).

  • Priority:

    Road safety.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

The local policing team has carried out speed checks in and around the area following concerns about road safety. Several drivers were stopped and dealt with for speeding offences, and further speed enforcement activity is planned throughout the summer. Officers have also made a number of arrests for drink-driving offences and continue to carry out vehicle stop checks as part of ongoing district road safety operations. Residents are encouraged to join My Community Voice (MCV) to receive updates and stay in direct contact with their local neighbourhood officer.
