About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

  • Priority:

    Road safety.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

Speed checks are being arranged throughout the summer in response to concerns raised about speeding in the area. These checks will help officers monitor vehicle speeds, engage with drivers and take enforcement action where necessary. Road safety remains a priority, and continued patrols and speed enforcement activity aim to improve driver behaviour and help keep local roads safe for all road users. Residents are encouraged to join My Community Voice (MCV) to receive updates and stay in contact with their local neighbourhood officer.

  • Priority:

    Nuisance vehicles.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

There has been 1 report of nuisance vehicle use in the area over the past 3 months. The local neighbourhood officer is aware of concerns relating to nuisance vehicles on Mapleton Road, Four Elms, and has carried out high-visibility patrols in this area, as well as in Cowden and Hever. Officers will continue to monitor these locations and respond to reports from the community. Residents are encouraged to report any concerns or incidents, as this helps officers target patrols and enforcement activity where it is needed most. To receive updates and contact your local officer directly, please join My Community Voice (MCV).

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

There have been no reports of nuisance vehicles in the area during the past 3 months. High-visibility patrols have been carried out in Cowden and Hever and will continue to help deter offending and provide reassurance to residents. We encourage anyone with concerns or information about nuisance vehicle use to report it to the police, as this helps officers focus patrols and enforcement activity where it is needed most. Residents can also join My Community Voice (MCV) to receive local updates and stay in contact with their neighbourhood officer.
