    Criminal damage.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to work closely with the Sports Trust and other partners to address ongoing concerns about trespassing, antisocial behaviour and criminal damage at the Folkestone Sports Centre redevelopment site. Regular patrols are carried out to deter unauthorised access and respond to reports from the community. Despite enhanced security measures, officers have continued to deal with incidents involving people entering the site without permission, including access to restricted areas. Individuals found trespassing may be issued with a Community Protection Warning (CPW) or, where behaviour persists, a Community Protection Notice (CPN). A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning given when a person's behaviour is having a negative impact on the community. If the behaviour continues, a Community Protection Notice can be issued, which is a legal notice requiring the person to stop the behaviour. Officers will continue to monitor the site, take action against those entering unlawfully and support efforts to protect the redevelopment. The ongoing redevelopment of the sports centre is a positive investment in the local area and will provide valuable sporting and community facilities for residents when complete.

    Officers continue to support road safety in the Broadmead and Park Farm areas through regular high-visibility patrols and targeted enforcement activity. Patrols are carried out in locations where concerns have been raised, helping to identify traffic offences, deter unsafe driving and provide reassurance to residents. Drivers found committing offences are dealt with appropriately, and vehicles may be seized where legislation allows. Officers also encourage residents to get involved with Community Speedwatch, a volunteer-led scheme that helps identify speeding concerns and promotes safer driving within local communities. Through ongoing enforcement, community engagement and partnership working, officers continue to improve road safety and address concerns raised by residents.

    Antisocial behaviour.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to carry out regular patrols in Radnor Park, helping to deter antisocial behaviour, provide reassurance to residents and address concerns raised by the community. These patrols have contributed to a reduction in reports of antisocial behaviour and suspected drug-related activity, particularly around the fishing pond area.

    Officers also work closely with local schools to help prevent antisocial behaviour and educate young people about its impact. Through engagement sessions, students are encouraged to understand the effects that antisocial behaviour and harassment can have on victims and the wider community, while promoting personal responsibility and positive decision-making. By combining visible patrols, education and community engagement, officers continue to work to reduce antisocial behaviour and improve community safety.
