About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Reduce Drug Use & Supply

    Issued 01 June 2026

    Action taken:

The Neighbourhood Team have been active in the community conducting Drugs warrants at various addresses and locations.

We are keen to disrupt this kind of behaviour in our community and encourage people to continue to talk to us and report issues so we can act on this intelligence by means of conducting warrants/stop searches when lawful to do so.

We will bring offenders to court alongside referrals to support agencies for substance misusers.

This is an ongoing Priority with intelligence continuing to be developed for Warrants to be executed at other addresses

    Actioned 31 July 2026

  • Priority:

    Retail crime

    Issued 01 June 2026

    Action taken:

There has been an increase in Retail Crime.

PCSOs and PCs will be patrolling the areas regularly over the summer period. Retails Crime continues to be a Priority with officers patrolling shops on a daily basis and taking positive action with offenders. Further conversations and progression will be looked at with regards to a Shop |Watch scheme for the town being introduced in the coming weeks.

  • Priority:

    Issued 01 June 2026

    Action taken:
