About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

During our last survey people asked us to focus on the following:

Anti-social behaviour including nuisance vehicles and drug use in Overfield Close/Fieldside Close and the surrounding area.

    Issued 01 August 2026

    Action taken:

    • We have been targeting this issue through high-visibility patrols.
    • We are working closely with partners and building up intelligence to identify offenders.

    Actioned 01 August 2026

  • Priority:

During our last survey people asked us to focus on the following:

Anti-social behaviour using vehicles and off road bikes in Welham Green.

    Issued 01 August 2026

    Action taken:

    • This area remains a focus for targeted patrols, increased stop and search activity, and plain-clothes operations. These tactics are aimed at disrupting drug-related activity and associated criminality and we conducted a recent Day of Action focusing on these.
    • During the Day of Action, we stop searched a number of known drug dealers in that area who we believed were on their way to pick up drugs. This proactive enforcement disrupted and prevented a number of exchanges happening.

    Actioned 01 August 2026

  • Priority:

We’re currently consulting the public on the issues they would like to see their local policing teams focusing on as a priority.
