About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Anti social behaviour

    Issued 09 June 2026

    Action taken:

    ASB

Our neighbourhood priority is to tackle anti-social behaviour linked to electric bikes, particularly dangerous riding, noise nuisance, and intimidation of residents. We will work with partners to identify hotspots, carry out targeted patrols, and engage with offenders to prevent escalation. Enforcement will be coupled with education to raise awareness of legal requirements and safe riding. We will use intelligence-led approaches, including community reporting and CCTV where appropriate, to disrupt persistent offenders. Our aim is to improve safety, reduce harm, and reassure the community by taking a firm but fair approach to those misusing electric bikes in our area

  • Priority:

    Fraud

    Issued 09 June 2026

    Action taken:

    FRAUD

Our neighbourhood priority is to tackle fraud linked to retail crime, including refund fraud, counterfeit goods, and organised theft impacting local businesses. We will work closely with retailers, security teams, and partner agencies to share intelligence, identify repeat offenders, and disrupt criminal networks. Targeted patrols and proactive operations will be supported by evidence gathering, CCTV, and reporting systems. We will also promote prevention by encouraging good retail practices and staff awareness. Our focus is to protect businesses, reduce financial loss, and build confidence within the retail community through a consistent, intelligence-led enforcement approach.
