About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    All forms of community and neighbourhood ASB

    Action taken:

    Anti social behaviour (ASB) has been identified as a local concern. within our communities.

    We will work with partners to address and aim to resolve and reduce anti social behaviour within our communities through joint working and multi agency approach.

    * NPPT officers will deal positively with offenders causing ASB by utilising our ASB Power Tools e.g. 'ASB Warning Letters'

    * Community meetings and engagements such as Meet the Street will be held to give the public the opportunity to tell NPPT officers and partners their concerns.

    * outcomes of actions will be published to keep the public up to date with actions their NPPT team are involved in.

    Road Safety issues

    Action taken:

    The local community have stated that they are concerned about safety on the local roads including speeding and vehicles being used in and anti-social manner. NPPT officers will conduct checks in the areas of concern and look to carry out joint operations with RPU targeting the illegal use of e-bikes also.

    Identify and target drug dealing and drug use in the community

    The communities have highlighted that drug dealing and drug activity is a major concern for them.

    To tackle this we will actively look to gather intelligence in relation to drug dealing activity and look to take positive action where powers exist
