About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Brandon PACT priorities:
    - Reduce Antisocial Behaviour
    - Reduce Off road motorbike nuisance
    - Increase Road safety
    - Increase Community safety and confidence
    - Recuce Rural crime

    Issued 11 May 2026

    Action taken:

Off road/E Bikes – We continue to organise planned OP Endurance days in which we designate resources to tackling the issue along side our road traffic and bike section officers. Several electric and petrol off road bikes have recently been seized in the area by Framwellgate Moor Neighbourhood Policing Team and some by our own motorbike section.

Youth ASB – We have been increasing patrols of hotspot areas in which ASB has been reported, as a result of enquiries we have identified repeat offenders and conducted home visits to inform parents/guardians of what has been reported. We will continue to work alongside Durham County Council and local housing providers to deal with offenders.

Rural crime - partnership working with land owners is ongoing to identify those involved in anti-social behavior or poaching in rural areas. Additional late night patrols have been conducted by the team to specifically target rural crime and several individuals have been visited in relation to fire setting in rural areas.

Further updates to be given at next PACT meeting
