Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Addressing Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) and Associated Crime. We are committed to working in partnership with local agencies and the community to deliver sustainable, long-term solutions to issues affecting Plympton.

    Issued 19 April 2026

    Action taken:

The Plympton Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to conduct regular foot patrols and high visibility car patrols, targeting areas identified through community feedback and intelligence. We have used ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) powers to issue warning letters to several youths, these is part of an escalation process if the behaviour continues. We work closely with our retail outlets in regards to thefts, using collaborative systems to help them collate evidence and report incidents easier.

    Actioned 19 April 2026

  • Priority:

Reducing Drug and Alcohol-Related ASB Our focus includes tackling incidents linked to drug and alcohol misuse that negatively impact residents and public spaces.

    Issued 19 April 2026

    Action taken:

Targeted patrols are ongoing to address drug and alcohol-related offences. We make full use of our stop and search powers and respond proactively to intelligence reports. We have utilised our Drone Unit after intelligence from the public and also completed operation "Paw Patrol" visiting the local pubs with our Passive Drugs Dog Jasper.
The team continues to encourage the public to share any information relating to drug dealing or associated activity in the area.

    Actioned 19 April 2026

  • Priority:

Reducing Antisocial Vehicle Use We have received multiple reports regarding the antisocial use of vehicles and e-bikes. We aim to reduce these behaviours through education, engagement, and enforcement where necessary

    Issued 19 April 2026

    Action taken:

We also aim to educate e-bike users on responsible riding behaviour; however, where necessary, we have seized vehicles in accordance with current legislation. We have had reports regarding speeding in the area and will be working with our Speed Enforcement Team to collate data and take action where required.

    Actioned 19 April 2026

  • Priority:

Improving Road Safety Around Local Schools

    Issued 19 April 2026

    Action taken:

Parking and traffic congestion near local schools have been raised as concerns. We have been conducting foot patrols and working with schools to ensure the safety of children, parents, and residents
