About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Drink drug driving/ vehicle offences

    Action taken:

    Driving under the influence of drink or drugs is an unacceptable, high risk crime. We run specific operations to target this, and will report results of these operations through our social media page and Neighbourhood Alert, while continuing to carry out stop-checks.

    With the weather improving, we are aware and alive to the threat of anti-social behaviour returning to our towns. We aim to stop it before it starts through foot-patrol, engagement, and enforcement where necessary, promoting pro-social use of the local amenities and ensuring everyone in the community can enjoy their local area.
