About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Anti-Social Behaviour – To work with our local communities and partnerships to problem solve and tackle any antisocial behaviour, increase high visibility patrols and engage with those present and reassure our community. To use re directional pathways, civil injunctions, and criminal law to those persistently responsible and aim to reduce future offending.     We are currently looking to increase our patrols on a Friday evening where we know ASB is often an issue.

    Drugs – Positive Action – We remain committed to tackling drug supply in our area through gathering intelligence and taking action through warrants and arrests. To engage with our schools and other learning establishments to provide learning and support.     We have had some positive result from a warrant and Pubs Against Drugs Operation this month and we aim to continue this proactive approach.

    Shoplifting – We will continue to engage with businesses to work together in order to reduce shoplifting and take positive action against those offending. We have had some positive results this month with regards to a prolific shoplifter who we have targeted.
