About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Anti-Social Behaviour

    Issued 04 April 2026

    Action taken:

We have continued to rigorously monitor and check the compliance our recent two closure orders. We have conducted 58 dedicated foot patrols within the town on top of all our other commitments this month, equivalating to 2 patrols a day! If you see us out and about, do come and say hello.

    Actioned 07 May 2026

  • Priority:

    Drugs

    Issued 04 April 2026

    Action taken:

The Bodmin Sector Neighbourhood Team are proactively looking to tackle issues around illicit drug use and the negative impacts that this has upon our communities. We rely on community intelligence to make the differences that you desire in our communities; so keep reporting directly or anonymously via CrimeStoppers if you want to make a difference!

    Actioned 07 May 2026

  • Priority:

    Shoplifting and Retail Crime

    Issued 04 April 2026

    Action taken:

Shoplifting offences are down 22.5% compared to this time last year. This is credit to the hard work we have done with shop workers to investigate reports of shoplifting. We continue to work closely with our retail partners to identify individuals who are causing disruption to this sector of our economy, and more locally our highstreets and shops. We have recently arrested, charged, and remanded to prison a repeat offender targeting supermarkets across Bodmin which has been well received by stores across the town.

    Actioned 07 May 2026
