About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    1. Keeping our parks safe and minimise Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
    2. Tackle drug dealing and drug use
    3. Tackle nuisance and illegal off-road motorbikes.

    Action taken:

    In relation to keeping our parks safe and minimise ASB, we will:
    1. Work closely with local schools to educate young people about the impact and consequences of ASB
    2. Conduct regular patrols of our parks engaging with members of the public and listening to their concerns.
    3. Use problem solving approaches with repeat offenders and locations
    4. Work with partner agencies to make our parks safe for use by all
    In relation to tackling drug dealing and drug use, we will:
    1. Run targeted operations to tackle drug related activity
    2. Carry out high visibility patrols in hotspot areas
    3. Hold regular pop up engagement stalls to allow residents to safely provide information and speak with officers
    4. Work with partner agencies to support individuals away from substance misuse
    In relation to tackling nuisance and off-road motorbikes, we will:
    1. Explore measures to limit access to green spaces used by bikes
    2. Run joint operations with partners to stop and deal with offenders
    3. Use enforcement alongside education, ensuring riders understand the risks posed to themselves and others
