About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    1. Drug use around Birkhill Estate Eckington
    2. Acquisitive crime- Burglaries –Ridgeway Moor, Main Road & High lane, Ridgeway.
    3. ASB – regarding E-scooters and electric bikes- Steads Street Park & Bike Track Eckington and Ravencar Estates

    Action taken:

    1. We will be conducting high visibility and plain clothed patrols of the area's
    2. We will gather intelligence via Neighbourhood Alert Surveys, Community Catchups and foot patrols.
    3. We will also utilise Power Bi and information from partner Agencies, to help identify Hot Spot areas of ASB and prolific ASB offenders
    4. We will also use the Powers of Partner Agencies to help prevent Incidents and deter Offenders
    5. We will work alongside partner Agencies, to help identify Hot Spot areas. Officers to stop search as and when appropriate. We will also use the Powers of Partner Agencies to help prevent Incidents and deter Offenders.
