Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Drug Dealing/Misuse

    Issued 01 May 2025

    Action taken:

Following the successful closure of 2 problem properties in the Ward, the problems have reduces. I continue to actively encourage residents to come forward with any new information in relation to drug dealing/misuse within the ward. So, I can act on this information through intelligence and other means of enforcement. Proactive foot and mobile patrols of the ward area including the many back streets and alleys which have previously been problem areas for drug dealing and misuse are the focus.

    Actioned 01 May 2025

  • Priority:

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) involving young people in central Redcar

    Issued 01 May 2025

    Action taken:

ASB which primarily takes place in McDonalds, Thrush Road has seen a marked decline. McDonalds continue to have security guards on duty daily, this has had a huge improvement in reducing the number of ASB related calls. I continue to monitor our ASB calls in the ward area. The ward is proactively patrolled and any information on youths gathering acted on. Borough Park Rose Garden has seen an increase in problems with youths; however, the figures remain low. This location is also included whilst on patrol and can only be patrolled on foot.

    Actioned 01 May 2025
