About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

We have recently received multiple reports of anti‑social behaviour (ASB) in and around Banwell. This behaviour has caused concern among residents and local businesses, and we want to reassure the community that it is being taken seriously.

In response, officers will be conducting increased high‑visibility patrols in the area. We are actively engaging with residents, local groups, and businesses to gather information and identify those responsible.

Once individuals are identified, we will consider all available options, including the use of ASB legislation and enforcement powers, or the progression of criminal investigations where offences are committed.

We encourage anyone affected by anti‑social behaviour, or who has information that may assist our enquiries, to report it via 101, through our online reporting services, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

    Issued 21 January 2026

    Action taken:

    Priority Update
Officers have been conducting both high‑visibility and plain‑clothes patrols in and around Banwell. We are continuing to seek the identification of the individuals involved, using CCTV footage obtained from residents and local businesses.
We continue to encourage anyone affected by anti‑social behaviour, or anyone with information that may assist our enquiries, to report it via 101, through our online reporting services, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

    Actioned 16 April 2026

  • Priority:

If you have a bike, let us security mark it for free. It only takes a few minutes and all you need is a valid email address.
