    The Neighbourhood Policing Team are prioritising patrols in and around the Greenbank Pool area in Street.

    This is due to some recent reports of poor/ illegal parking around surrounding roads of the swimming pool and we are working alongside the Somerset County Council parking wardens to address any issues found.

    We encourage motorists to park responsibly and not to cause any obstructions or park over pavements.

    If any road is obstructed, we ask residents to call 101 at the time.

    The local Neighbourhood Policing Team have continued to pay passing attention to the area due to ongoing parking issues and have been working alongside the Civil Parking Wardens, who have the main responsibility for all “on road” parking enforcement.
    Patrols will continue over the summer holiday’s to ensure free flow or traffic.

  • Priority:

    The local Policing Team has had concerns raised to us again about some vehicles travelling along Brooks Road in Street at in-appropriate speeds.

    The Neighbourhood Policing Team, working alongside our Speed Enforcement Unit and local Community Speedwatch Volunteers, will be looking at carrying out some speed checks at this location, so we are asking local resident's or anyone else who regularly travels along this road to  obey the speed limit and consider the safety of local residents and others who live nearby.

    If anyone would like to come forward and join the local Community Speedwatch Team in Street, please do go on our force website and click on the community speedwatch section and fill in the form and we can provide all training and equipment free of charge.
