About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    There has been ongoing anti-social behaviour reported within local parks and the town centre area. Incidents include groups congregating, causing nuisance to members of the public,  Although engagement and patrol activity have been conducted, reports continue to be received.

    Officers and PCSOs are conduct high-visibility patrols ""If you see something, report it. Your information helps us target the areas and individuals involved in anti-social behaviour."

    Action taken:

    We have received reports of ASB in local parks, including fires being lit. Fires can spread rapidly and become uncontrollable.

    We are carrying out regular patrols in the area and encourage anyone who witnesses this behaviour to report it to us so that appropriate action can be taken.

    We have received reports of thefts from rural locations, including farms, outbuildings and agricultural premises.

    Please remain vigilant and ensure valuables, machinery, trailers, tools and fuel tanks are secured. Consider the following crime prevention measures:

    • Lock and secure all vehicles, machinery and outbuildings.
    • Remove keys from unattended vehicles and equipment.
    • Install and maintain CCTV, security lighting and alarms where possible.
    • Mark property with forensic marking products and record serial numbers.
    • Report any suspicious vehicles or individuals operating in rural areas.
    If you witness suspicious activity, please report it via 101 or online. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, call 999.

    Working together and sharing information helps us identify and target areas affected by rural theft, enabling us to direct patrols and crime prevention activity where it is needed most.

    With such a large rural area to cover, intelligence from our communities is vital. Whether it’s theft of machinery, fuel, livestock, tools, or suspicious behaviour, please let us know.
