    1. Community Alert sign-ups
Work has been undertaken to significantly increase Community Alert sign-ups across the area, strengthening communication between the Neighbourhood Policing Team and local residents. Through targeted engagement, social media promotion, and partnership working, more residents are now able to receive tailored crime prevention advice, updates on local events, and information on emerging issues and crime trends. This has improved the team’s ability to share positive outcomes, highlight ongoing police activity, and provide clear points of contact, ultimately increasing community awareness and reassurance.

    2. School presence and road safety
Police presence at primary schools during drop-off and pick-up times has been enhanced, providing a visible deterrent to unsafe and inconsiderate parking. Officers and PCSOs have actively engaged with parents, carers, and school staff to educate them on the importance of adhering to parking restrictions and maintaining car-free zones. This approach has helped to improve road safety around schools, reduce congestion, and raise awareness among children about safe practices, contributing to a safer environment for pupils and the wider community.

    3. Reduction in acquisitive crime
A proactive and intelligence-led approach has been adopted to tackle acquisitive crime, including burglary, theft from motor vehicles, and shed break-ins. All reported incidents have been thoroughly investigated, supported by increased overt and covert patrols in targeted areas. Partnership working and evidence gathering have enabled the identification and disruption of offenders, with enforcement action taken where appropriate. These efforts have resulted in increased visibility, improved prevention messaging to residents, and a strengthened response aimed at reducing offending and protecting the community. A suspect has now been charged and remanded in custody in connection with these ongoing thefts, demonstrating proactive action being taken. Victims will continue to be supported and reassured through follow-up contact and regular updates on the progress of investigations.

There has been warnings and/or enforcement notices where unsafe or illegal parking persists.

    3.    Reducing acquisitive crime
High-visibility patrols were increased in areas experiencing repeat incidents, supported by targeted operations informed by crime pattern analysis and intelligence. Property-marking events have been delivered alongside the provision of practical crime prevention advice to residents. Ongoing campaigns will continue to promote vehicle and home security, encouraging simple measures such as locking doors and removing valuables from sight. Officers have worked closely with partners, including CCTV operators and local businesses, to identify suspects and gather evidence this will of course continue. Where offenders have been identified, warrants and disruption activity has been carried out to prevent further offending. A suspect has now been charged and remanded in custody in connection with these ongoing thefts, demonstrating proactive action being taken. Victims will continue to be supported and reassured through follow-up contact and regular updates on the progress of investigations.

    4.    Targeting Nuisance off road bikes
Dedicated operations have been deployed to target nuisance off-road motorbikes, utilising both overt and covert tactics in identified hotspot areas. Vehicles found to be used illegally have been seized under the relevant legislation. Officers will continue to work closely with local communities to gather intelligence and encourage reporting, while also engaging with youth groups and schools to raise awareness of the risks and legal consequences associated with this behaviour. Enforcement activity will also be publicised to deter further offending.
