Retail Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour (Valley Road Retail Locations)
- Increased high-visibility patrols at retail premises along Valley Road, focusing on anti-social behaviour, repeat calls for service, and identified hotspot locations.
- Targeted activity to disrupt and deter prolific and repeat shoplifters through intelligence-led patrols and partnership working with retailers and security staff.
- Joint working with businesses, CCTV operators, Bradford Council and partner agencies to identify offenders and implement problem-solving measures.
- Engagement with retailers to encourage reporting, evidence gathering and crime prevention opportunities.

ASB & Drug Dealing – Marshfield Area
- Reports continue of groups of young males congregating in the area, causing intimidation to residents and concerns regarding suspected drug-related activity.
- Targeted patrols are being conducted to gather intelligence and identify those involved in criminality and anti-social behaviour.
- Officers will utilise stop and search powers where appropriate, with arrests made where offences are identified.
ASB & Drug Dealing – West Bowling Area
- Work is ongoing to strengthen relationships with local religious establishments and key community stakeholders.
- Efforts are focused on building trust, improving communication, and increasing opportunities for information sharing.
- Residents are being encouraged to take part in community-led solutions to address anti-social behaviour.
- Police activity in the area has increased, and recent incidents of disorder are currently being investigated by local officers.
Drug Dealing & ASB – Little Horton Lane Area
- Disruption activity continues following the identification of the area as an emerging hotspot for drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour.
- High-visibility patrols are being undertaken alongside partner agencies to maintain a visible presence and deter offending.
- Ongoing engagement with residents and community groups is helping to shape future priorities and enforcement activity.

1. Current Priorities

- Addressing antisocial behaviour and criminal damage at Myra Shay Park.
- Reducing the unlawful and antisocial use of fireworks through engagement, education, and enforcement.
- Targeting local drug supply and the associated criminality affecting the ward.
- Encouraging the reporting of incidents and increasing community intelligence to support police activity.
2. Community Engagement
A regular Police Contact Point has been established at Abu Bakar Masjid, taking place every Friday at 1:00pm. Residents are encouraged to attend to discuss local concerns, receive crime prevention advice, and speak directly with local neighbourhood officers.

Officers are currently carrying out targeted operations to tackle antisocial vehicle use across the ward. This includes action relating to:
- Off-road motorcycles.
- Electric bikes being used unlawfully.
- Vehicles being driven without valid insurance, licences, or other required documentation.

How You Can Help
Information from the public plays a vital role in identifying offenders and directing police activity. Residents are encouraged to report incidents involving antisocial vehicle use, drug-related activity, criminal damage, and the misuse of fireworks.
Information regarding offenders or locations where vehicles are being stored can be provided anonymously and will help officers target enforcement activity where it is needed most.
Working together with the community helps us make Bradford Moor a safer place for everyone.

Bowling and Barkerend Ward Areas
Current priorities:
- Antisocial vehicle use in and around Bowling Park.
- Antisocial vehicle use and firework-related nuisance in and around Dick Lane.
- Proactive enforcement against drug use and drug dealing in the Hendford Drive area and surrounding streets.
- Reducing the unlawful and antisocial use of fireworks across the ward through targeted engagement, education and enforcement activity.
We welcome information from residents to help us identify those responsible for crime and antisocial behaviour and to support ongoing efforts to make our communities safer.
You Said, We Did:
Community Concern
Residents and local stakeholders raised concerns regarding antisocial driving and the misuse of fireworks in and around the Dick Lane area, particularly during large-scale events and gatherings.
Our Response
In direct response to these concerns, Bradford East NPT worked alongside Roads Policing and Operation Steerside officers to deliver a multi-agency operation aimed at tackling dangerous and antisocial behaviour.
Officers carried out both static and mobile patrols throughout the weekend, providing a visible presence while proactively identifying and dealing with offences.
Results
The operation delivered the following outcomes:
- 6 speeding tickets issued.
- 4 drivers reported for speeding offences by way of summons.
- 2 vehicles seized for having no valid insurance.
- 1 dangerous driving investigation progressed, resulting in a crime report and submission of a file to the Crown Prosecution Service.
- 2 incidents involving vehicles failing to stop for police, with one incident leading to additional offences being identified, including dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
- 1 stop search conducted as part of enforcement activity.
While enforcement activity alone will not resolve all concerns in the area, these results demonstrate our commitment to listening to residents and taking firm action against those whose behaviour puts others at risk or causes disruption within the community.
Ongoing Work
Bradford East NPT will continue to carry out targeted patrols and enforcement activity in and around Dick Lane. We are also working with partner agencies and the local authority to explore longer-term solutions that will help prevent further incidents and improve community safety.
