  • Priority:

Local Priority - Vehicle Crime - Nechells Green

We are aware of an increased pattern of offending for vehicle crime within the Nechells Green area.

    Issued 05 July 2026

    Action taken:

The Nechells NHT are engaged with multiple work streams across the community that are designed to reduce the level of vehicle crime.

The team have been in communities, including the Nechells Green area, handing out crime prevention material and devices.

Nechells NHT have understood the seasonal climate change and as such have collaborated with internal departments to recognise patterns of crime and ensure we have police in the right areas at peak times to counteract any potential crime.
Vehicle crime, remains a priority locally and the NHT will ensure plans are in place to reduce and minimise this crime type.
Please be vigilant when parking your vehicle in public spaces and do not leave valuable items on open display.

Vehicle Theft can occur at any point, however of note this has been heightened at weekends, specifically during football matches with AVFC. Not leaving vehicles in a vulnerable position is paramount. Nechells NHT are aware of this issue and are working with our ops department to ensure opportunities to convict offenders are taken and prevent offences being committed

    Actioned 11 July 2026

  • Priority:

Community Priority - Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in Nechells Green

ASB is a growing concern in our local area, impacting the residents quality of life. As a local policing team we acknowledge these ongoing issues and are taking proactive measures through increased patrols alongside local councillors and partner agencies.

We therefore encourage members of the public to report all incidents to identify patterns of behaviour, ensuring every issue is addressed accordingly to create a safer environment and improve our community.

The local team continue to provide patrols in areas that are being heavily impacted. We receive multiple calls for service with ASB type incidents, the development of the local action teams have been helping to respond to calls for service and ensure any crimes identified are investigated thoroughly.

Nechells Green has previously been a location of higher levels of vehicle crime.

    Issued 05 July 2026

    Action taken:

As we stretch into the summer months we expect more people to be visible and out later. Nechells NHT is dedicated to tackling issues such as ASB through partnership work, regular patrols and community engagement.

We will also be working with partners across the wards to tackle issues within Nechells Green.

    Actioned 11 July 2026

  • Priority:

    Force Priority - Operation Stance

We are currently engaged in tackling the criminality seen at shops on our area, which are leading us to target disruption efforts and enforce legislation to those responsible for owning, managing and utilising these stores.

    Issued 05 July 2026

    Action taken:

The Nechells NHT will work with partners internally and externally to provide enforcement at any shops and businesses conducting unlawful trading within our communities.
