About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Preventing Burglaries in the Paddock & Palfrey ward due to seasonal trends

    August Update
    Officers from the Delves neighbourhood team have continued to patrol the location during the summer months. Burglary type offences have remained very low, a combination of police patrols, Streetwatch patrols and residents ensuring house security is resilient has helped drive this type of crime down.

    September update
    Patrols will remain in the location. Burglary dwellings have remained low during the summer months but this location will remain a priority for the neighbourhood team at this point.

    Detailed reports of drug dealing in the alleyway between Wednesbury Road and Corporation Street West

    Action taken:

    Officers from the local neighbourhood team will patrol this location to identify offenders and look at other measures to try to resolve this matter. If applicable will look at working with local authority.

    August Update
    Officers from the Delves neighbourhood team continue to patrol the alleyway to deter incidents. The local Litter picking group have also attended the location to remove litter,bottles,cans etc
    This location will remain a priority at this point.

    September update
    This location continues to be patrolled to deter any further incidents. Our local litter pickers also continue to try to keep this area clear of litter.

    This location will continue to be a priority for the team as the darker nights draw in.

    Offroad Bikes Silverdale Park

    Action taken:

    We have received several call regards offroad bikes in this location. The local neighbourhood team will patrol this location to try to deter and identify the individuals involved. And take appropriate action.

    Working to ensure Halloween and Bonfire Night celebrations are enjoyed safely and responsibly.

    Action taken:

    Walsall Police are working with the local authority, key stakeholders and community members to help ensure these celebrations are enjoyed safely and responsibly.

    Neighbourhood officers will be out across the borough reassuring communities and preventing any behaviour that could put others at risk.

    We will be working with licenced premises to ensure that safe securing of fireworks and appropriate selling is taking place.

    Our Prevention Hub officers are working with schools to ensure that educational resources are delivered to schools to educate young people on the importance of staying safe across the period.
