Off Road Bikes ridden in an Anti social manner

    Issued 06 May 2026

    Action taken:

The team still continue to conduct pro-active patrols around key locations and are working closely with the road harm prevention team and partner agencies to identify and prosecute those involved with over 157 bikes seized in the last 22 months. A recent off road bike operation has seen Officers visible in the area and bikes seized. We will still continue to review intelligence to identify those that are involved in the use of off road bikes in an anti social manner and make every effort to take these bikes off our streets. We will be conducting further off road bikes on a recurring basis to deter and identify those involved.
We have conducted a further Off road bike Op with the Off road bike team on 22nd May, where several off road bikes were seized and persons reported for offences.
There are ongoing patrols in the local area for off road bikes and the team will continue to operate in both uniform and plain clothes to stop the bikes and seize them. Riders will be prosecuted for driving offences.

  • Priority:

Robbery and Public Place Violence offences.

    Issued 06 May 2026

    Action taken:

The team continue to conduct high visibility mobile and foot patrols around key locations in order to deter and identify persons involved. We have also introduced a public space protection order in conjunction with Solihull Council within the bus interchange and surrounding area providing officers additional powers to tackle ASB and public place violence. This order is still in force and helping the team to disperse youths following obtaining their details.
The team are also working closely with the violence reduction partnership and youth workers to help educate and deter those that may become involved in public place violence and related offences.
Plain clothes patrols are being conducted in the area to combat these types of offences and bring offenders to justice as well as being supported by wider resources including drone units, dog and pro-active teams.
A social media appeal has been created for an offender who has been committing robberies in the local area targeting jewellery. Officers are conducting enquiries to identify the suspect and patrols and ongoing. This is a priority in the local area and we will continue to pursue every line of enquiry to bring the offender to justice.

The team are collating intelligence from the community and are working with our Road Traffic department to ensure we have the right resources in our local area to deter and detect crime in relation to theft of and from motor vehicles. The team are working various shifts into the early hours of the morning to catch those responsible for committing these crimes and working closely with our investigation colleagues to identify and prosecute those involved.
Officers have been conducting enquiries regarding car cannibalism in the area and are working with our Traffic department to conduct enquiries into vehicles entering the area to combat these offences and bring offenders to justice.
