About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Concerns raised at the PACT meeting on 7th August about issues relating to drug taking & youths drinking in the park in Shelfied

    After Last Pact meeting on the 14/05/26 this priority remains the same

    We continue to give passing attention to the area and work with the community offering reassurance going forward. We have carried out several patrols over the last few weeks and have not encountered any issues. We will continue to monitor and work with our partners where appropriate.

    PACT Meeting Priority - Tackling off-road bikes around The Little Wyrley Estate off Engine Lane

    Following the PACT meeting on 7th August 2025 residents agreed to keep this issue as a priority.

    Tackling off road bikes riding illegally on public land and private land (without landowners permission) is still an issue and should continue as a priority for police, partners and communities to work together and tackle.

    After Last Pact meeting on the 14/05/26 this priority remains the same

    Offroad operation have been conducted in around Engine lane. As before we will monitor area until fence has been put up to prevent further issues.

    Targeted Patrol have continued to happen. The team have continued with targeted patrols and have seen a reduction in the number of incidents being reported. We will continue to monitor and provide reassurance to our community that we are aware of these issues and are working with partners to tackle the problem.

    Following the PACT meeting on 12th February 2026 residents agreed to this issue as a priority.
