    Issued 13 May 2025

The robbery issue has seen an overall reduction. Officers continue to pay attention to this area through directed patrols at random times and dates to maximise visibility, allowing members of the public to engage with officers whenever they are seen.

  • Priority:

Op Eternity – ASB hotspots, hotspot ASB location 6 X LSOA

    Issued 13 May 2025

    Action taken:

ASB has reduced across the Aston ward, with overall crime reducing by 13% in comparison to April 2024. There are still reports of anti social behaviour at key locations such as the Newtown Shopping Centre. The Aston NHT continue to engage with partners and businesses within the area, as well as local residents to help deter and prevent further ASB from taking place.

  • Priority:

Op Guardian Targeted Patrols – Witton Lane & Constitution. SYV hotspot

    Issued 13 May 2025

    Action taken:

Op Guardian patrols continue take place on the Aston NHT with a high compliance rate. Witton Lane has a number of businesses that are subject to frequent police engagement, as a multi organisation approach is preferred to tackle Serious Youth Violence. There has been an overall reduction in SYV on the Aston ward continuously, as demonstrated since 2024 onwards. Work continues to develop on reducing along Witton Lane and the constitution area.
