Officers have continued with visible patrols in Aldridge central precinct to discuss any issues or concerns with local retailers. This engagement has taken place to provide a reassuring presence within Anchor Road, High Street, Anchor Parade and Precinct, to continue with the increased police presence within the shopping centre as part of our ongoing business patrol and engagement strategy speaking with shop staff and customers and working with the management centre. PCSOs have been carrying out drop in engagement surgeries at The Thomas Project hub on Walsall Wood Road and Aldridge Community centre on Middlemore Lane to speak to local people should they with to raise concerns around this matter. Shop thefts have seen a reduction this year compared to late 2025.
At the end of May Inspector Kauser has had a productive meeting with local ward councillors and are looking to work collaboratively at surgeries when able to address concerns of local residents.
