About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    We will:
    Deal robustly with people committing anti-social behaviour, making use of available legislation to divert offenders and prevent further harm.
    Increase foot patrols within the key locations.
    Utilise signage highlighting the risks of setting fires.
    Utilise Facebook and Neighbourhood Matters to highlight the work we are doing and promote key message's.
    Work closely with our partner agencies to identify and pursue offenders.

    We did July 2026 -
    - Targeted patrols in key areas of Burlish top and the Snipes
    - Collaborative work with fire brigade for further tactics

    We did August 2026 -
    - Continuation of patrols in key locations
    - Education with youths in the vicinity of key locations.

    Issue: Anti-social and misuse of vehicles, including speeding.

    Action taken:

    We will:
    Increase patrols of key areas of concern, including the Walshes estate.
    Utilise NHM and other reporting mechanisms to seek public assistance in pursuing offenders.
    Plan and execute targeted road safety operations.
    Deal robustly with people committing anti-social behaviour, making use of available legislation to divert and prosecute identified offenders.
    Conduct police surgeries within the key areas area to encourage reporting and offer reassurance.

    We did July 2026 -
    - A number of specific speeding operations took place throughout the month, all drivers were adhering to the speed limit.
    - Two vehicles were seized for no tax and no insurance

    We did August 2026 -
    -Planned operation took place where 4 x e scooters were seized and an e bike.
    - A further 2 x e scooters, 1 x syrion e-bike and stolen moped seized.

    Ensure visibility in areas of heightened concern.
    Work collaboratively with partners agencies to identify, divert and pursue offenders.
    Utilise NHM and other reporting mechanisms to seek public assistance in pursuing offenders.
    Plan and execute targeted operations in areas of concern.
    Conduct police surgeries within the key areas area to encourage reporting and offer reassurance.

    We did July 2026 -
    - Numerous intelligence reports have been submitted by the team
    - A number of warrants were conducted at varying addresses on the Walshes estate resulting in 3 arrests and a quantity of class A seized

    We did August 2026
    - Key individual arrested and is under investigation
    - Collaborative work with partner agencies is on-going to assist in the underlying issues.
    - An eviction of key individual took place.
