About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    ASB and drug crime, voted for by the community on our Warwickshire Connected survey

    Action taken:

    The team will work alongside other departments and external partners to reduce the sale of drugs within he Town North area of Rugby. Uniformed patrols will be used in our ASB hotspot areas to show a visual police presence and to deter ASB within those areas.

  • Priority:

    Retail theft, particularly in and around Junction 1 and Elliot’s Field shopping centres.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

    Officers will conduct proactive patrols in order to deter retail theft, and also catch those in the act of committing the offence. The police will also work with local business in an effort to "target harden" them to reduce the likelihood of individuals targeting them.
