Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Anti-Social Behaviour on Moor Close, outside Co-Op on Yeovil Road where teenagers are stood around which members of the public are finding intimidating. ASB driving in The Meadows, Sandhurst.

Due to the warm weather, we have received reports of cars meeting in The Meadows car park in the evening.

Teenagers causing firing catapults in Snaprail Park.

    Issued 01 April 2026

    Action taken:

The Neighbourhood Team have been regularly patrolling these areas disrupting the ASB to identify any issues. Regular patrols on Yeovil Road to engage with teenagers and moving them on if appropriate.

We have been attending The Meadows during late shifts but have not encountered as issues so far. PC Crossman and the Team have been into The Meadows car park and has been speaking to security staff about reporting cars being driven in an anti social manner. Security have body worn cameras so can record registrations for Police. We will be arranging a meeting with Tesco to see what can be done together.

Regular patrols have been at The Meadows car park. There is limited activities there when we have attended. Regular patrols by the Team at Moor close and we have not come across anything.

Continued work between TVP and The Meadows Site saw the installation of road calming measures within the car park to counter reports of ASB driving, speeding and dangerous driving within the car park. Work between TVP and The Meadows continues to combat ASB driving in the location.

A Community Protection Notice issued by officers to a Sandhurst resident in Prince Drive to combat ASB within the locality.

NHPT Bracknell South officers conducted a speed gun operation on Yeovil Road, Sandhurst and showed a clear visible presence both to deter speeding and also ASB in the area. Positive comments fed back from members of the community at the time.

Regular patrols of Moor Close and Co-Op on Yeovil Road recorded via our Neighbourhood App. This has been positive with residents. The 2 prolific shoplifters causing issues for Co-Op have completed their Youth Diversion Programme after being arrested and dealt with. Reports have decreased since the youths have been moved on from the stairwell at the side of the shops.

The NHPT still continue to patrol this area on late shifts and robustly deal with ASB from youths.

Officers have been liaising with local shops in the vicinity of Moor Close to sign them up to DISC a system allowing more easily reporting of incidents, giving retail outlets the ability to know local shoplifters and direct message concerns to fellow retail outlets warning of ASB and offenders in the area. This has been done to ensure we cater for in case the ASB nominals from Moor Close spill over their behaviour to the close vicinity shops.

    13/05/2026
P5007, P1844 & P7551 conducted vehicle patrol around Moor Close at btw 10am and 10.15am - No pedestrians present on the road to engage with.

    May 2026
Officers have been patrolling The Meadows car park in Sandhurst over the past months and there is limited activities due to the cameras and speed humps being put in place by Tesco.
The issues around Moor Close have declined but still getting the odd report from residents so patrols have been put in place to disrupt these.

Due to continued partnership working between TVP and The Meadows the last 6 months has seen a 63% reduction in Anti social behaviour at this location. Efforts will continue to sustain this long term.

    May 2026
The Meadows Car Park has now been identified as a local NHPT hotspot between 7pm and 1am - the location has been attended by NHPT South officers on every late shift available.

    23/05/2026
A vehicle driving anti-socially was stopped by PC ZAREMBA in The Meadows car park and the driver issued a S.59 warning for ASB driving. The vehicle also had no insurance and was seized under S.165 of the Road Traffic act by PC Zaremba.

    1st May 2026
PC ZAREMBA stop checked a youth on a road legal motorbike suspected of excess ASB noise/revving on Yeovil Road from reports - 17yr old male spoken to by officers, given words of advice. No ASB driving witnessed by officers or evidenced in any way. Male left to resume.

    Actioned 13 May 2026

  • Priority:

Speeding - Rackstraw Road and the area in front of The Meadows car park. Also reports of speeding along Yeovil Road, Sandhurst.

    Issued 01 April 2026

    Action taken:

Although Officers have been to the location, it has proved difficult to pull any vehicles in due to the make up of the roads. We will be there with speed gun to try and deter speeding vehicles during our shifts to try and identify any offenders.

PC Crossman is liaising with RP to see if we are able to access a speed enforcement van to be placed on the road.

Deployment of TVP speed enforcement van on the A3095 towards the Meadows site. 3 speeding offences captured with a motorbike clocked at 67MPH in a 50MPH zone.

Speed enforcement operation conducted by officers with use of speed gun on YEOVIL ROAD 30MPH restriction from 6.15pm - 7.15pm on the 13th of October 2025. No offences committed in this time. However a visible presence noted by members of the public who passed on their thanks.

Update on use of mobile camera van speed enforcement - Data was reviewed for the A3095 and A321 with several locations trialled for enforcement but none were suitable due to site environment. Also reported collision history and average speeds do not provide sufficient evidence for approval of deployment of this van.

Sandhurst and Crowthorne Officers have liaised with Roads Policing Officers to pay attention to the roads around the Meadows in Sandhurst.

Due to other high priority commitments, Officers have not been out to do any speed gun operations. We will try and get out during April 2026.

NHPT South have been making enquiries into activity conducted by community speed watch groups to gage levels of community support in educating drivers who choose to speed.

Over the last couple of months the NHPT have been patrolling with colleagues in Hampshire and Surrey to combat planned car meets at The meadows and the reports of speeding and ASB that these meets tend to generate. Due to pre-emptive tactics to restrict locations for these meets in these areas it has had a positive effect in reducing instances of speeding even though speeding still continues at this location.

Speed gun enforcement conducted by PC 5007 CROSSMAN, PC 1844 ZAREMBA and PC MURPHY on Yeovil Road, Sandhurst between 09:30 - 10:00am. Words of advice given to motorist suspected of speeding prior to speed gun being in operation. Follow up enquiry with a vehicle showing as not insured and suspected of speeding. Transpired vehicle was covered on a family policy not yet showing on the system and thus no further action. No further offending motorists during this period.
