Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Anti-Social Behaviour on Moor Close, outside Co-Op on Yeovil Road where teenagers are stood around which members of the public are finding intimidating. ASB driving in The Meadows, Sandhurst.

Due to the warm weather, we have received reports of cars meeting in The Meadows car park in the evening.

Teenagers causing firing catapults in Snaprail Park.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) summary of activity by the NHPT team in September 2026:

Officers maintained a visible presence at identified ASB hotspot locations across Sandhurst, including Sandhurst Memorial Park, Yorktown Road, Prince Drive and the Yeovil Road area.

Patrols and engagement activity at Sandhurst Memorial Park were aimed at addressing concerns surrounding youth ASB, including reports of illegal e-bike and Surron use. Officers engaged positively with families and park users, receiving reassurance from residents regarding police visibility whilst also discussing concerns about e-scooters and off-road style electric bikes being ridden in public spaces. The community expressed appreciation for the increased patrol presence and ongoing enforcement activity.

Neighbourhood officers also continued to support businesses affected by youth-related ASB. Engagements at Greggs on Yorktown Road and local retailers along Yeovil Road found that recent increased police visibility had contributed to a reduction in reported incidents. Retail staff reported no recent issues and expressed gratitude for the regular police patrols and continued reassurance.

Further visibility patrols were carried out at Prince Drive, a location linked to reports of ASB and suspected drug activity. Although no offences were identified during patrols, officers continued proactive monitoring to deter offending and reassure residents.

    Actioned 01 October 2026

  • Priority:

Drug use/drug dealing activity in the Owlsmoor estate, namely Yeovil Road, Branksome Hill Road. Also locations being Snaprails park and Prince Drive.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

Summary of activity carried out by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers to tackle drugs in Sandhurst in September 2026:

Drug-related concerns remained a key focus during September, particularly in response to information received from local residents and community partners.

Building upon previous engagement work with housing providers and residents, officers continued to monitor areas where reports of cannabis use and suspected drug dealing had been raised. Patrol activity at Prince Drive was specifically directed towards reports of drug use and dealing, helping maintain a visible deterrent and reassuring the local community.

The team also continued to gather community intelligence through engagement opportunities across Sandhurst. Previous concerns raised by residents regarding drug activity in communal housing settings and around hotspot locations remain part of ongoing neighbourhood policing work, with officers encouraging residents to report suspicious activity and continue sharing information.

Regular patrols of Silver Hill, Yeovil Road, Moor Close and surrounding areas were conducted to deter drug-related activity and identify any emerging issues. Although no significant incidents were identified during these patrols, they provided reassurance and disruption opportunities in known hotspot locations.

    Actioned 01 October 2026

  • Priority:

Speeding - Rackstraw Road and the area in front of The Meadows car park. Also reports of speeding along Yeovil Road, Sandhurst.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

Summary of activity carried out by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers to tackle Speeding and Road-Related Concerns in Sandhurst in September 2026.

Speeding remained an important community concern during September, particularly regarding the use of e-bikes, e-scooters and Surron-style electric motorcycles in public areas.

Officers continued to receive feedback from residents about riders travelling at excessive speeds through Sandhurst Memorial Park, Snaprails Park and local underpasses. Community members raised concerns about the safety risks posed to pedestrians, particularly families and those using shared recreational spaces.

As part of ongoing engagement and prevention work, officers educated members of the public on legislation relating to e-scooters and electric bikes and discussed current enforcement operations targeting illegal use. These conversations helped improve community understanding whilst gathering valuable information about locations and times where problematic riding is occurring.

The issue of speeding by electrically powered bikes remains a recognised community priority, and officers continue to consider further enforcement and operational activity in partnership with neighbouring teams.

We have seen a drop off in reporting of Surron electric bikes speeding in Sandhurst since a number were seized by officers in August 2026.

    Actioned 01 October 2026
